The Broken Promise
A few years ago, my own car broke down right here in Charleston South Carolina. I called a local tow truck company that claimed they could tow any vehicle completely damage-free. To back up their claim, they prominently talked about having over 20 years of towing experience in Charleston. Their deep roots and marketing promised total peace of mind, so I trusted them. Boy was that a huge mistake.
When the tow truck arrived, the reality did not match the promise. The truck wasn’t lettered with the company name and the equipment was outdated and in poor condition. I watched in complete disbelief as the tow truck operator damaged my car while loading it onto his truck.
The worst part? Despite their decades in the towing business, and their claim of damage free towing, they refused to take responsibility. A situation that was already stressful turned into an expensive, frustrating battle to fix damages that never should have happened in the first place.
Taking Action
I realized that Charleston drivers deserved better. You should never have to worry if a company with a long tenure is actually going to make things worse. I decided to build a towing service rooted in real integrity, not just empty marketing slogans and years on a resume.
